JD Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, and execute the migration of Oracle databases from Solaris and AIX servers to Exadata Linux platforms.Utilize Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication, synchronization, and migration with minimal downtime.Assess existing database environments and develop migration strategies tailored to business requirements.Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure, and DBAs to ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption.Perform database tuning and optimization post-migration on Exadata systems.Conduct thorough testing including performance testing, failover testing, and data validation to ensure integrity and consistency.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising during migration or post-migration phases.Document migration plans, procedures, and best practices.Provide knowledge transfer and training to the support teams for the new environment.Ensure compliance with security policies, backup, and recovery procedures throughout the migration process.Required SkillsProven experience in migrating Oracle databases from Solaris and AIX platforms to Exadata Linux environments.Strong hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate for replication and migration.Deep understanding of Oracle Database architecture and Exadata platform features.Expertise in Oracle RMAN, Data Guard, and backup/recovery techniques.Knowledge of Linux operating system and shell scripting.Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting Oracle databases.Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in relevant Oracle Database versions.Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, or higher.Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle database services is a plus.Knowledge of automation tools for database management and migration.Strong hands-on experience with oracle RMAN Transportable Tablespace Migration from solaris to linux
