YOUR NEW ROLE The Midrange and Engineered Platforms team provides infrastructure support for a range of environments running on non-Windows operating systems (OS) such as RedHat Enterprise Linux, AIX, Solaris, Oracle Linux and Oracle Virtual Machines. The team also support the proprietary Oracle Engineered Systems appliances, including Oracle ExaDatas , Private Cloud Appliances, Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliances, Big Data appliances, and the databases, operating systems and middleware running on these. As a Senior Midrange Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical leadership of the on-premise Midrange environments running Linux, Solaris and AIX. You will be responsible for delivering a resilient and highly available environment, which adheres to the bank s Compliance Framework, Risk Policies, and technology strategy. You will manage incidents, problems, changes, vulnerabilities and non-compliance tickets in line with NAB s Service Management framework. You will drive continuous innovation and improvements via automation. You will support the Midrange Product Owner by contributing to technology roadmaps and strategy. You will identify and effectively manage risk on Midrange platforms, to ensure the risk profile remains as low as reasonably practicable. You will ensure the Midrange Platforms are delivered to an exceptional grade of service for our colleagues and customers. Work with key stakeholders to ensure systems comply with compliance framework and risk policy requirements. Mentor junior team members to ensure development and ability to meet the team and banks deliverables . WHAT YOU WILL BRING 4+ years experience managing Midrange technologies, including Linux and one of the following: Solaris, AIX or AS/400.
