Applications Support Analyst

As an Applications Support Analyst 2 at our company, you will be responsible for having a good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other technical areas to maintain, identify and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments. Your role will involve making recommendations for improvements, analyzing existing system logic, and using evaluative judgment to implement enhancements or fixes. You will also formulate and define scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding, combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry standards, and document requirements. Additionally, you will partner with appropriate development and production support areas, participate in validation and testing activities, and have a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of activities provided. Key Responsibilities: - Have a good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts - Identify and define enhancements to existing applications - Analyze existing system logic and make recommendations for improvements - Formulate and define scope and objectives for changes - Partner with development and production support areas - Participate in validation and testing activities - Assess the applicability of previous experiences and evaluate options - Exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical manner Qualifications: - 3-6 years of experience or interest in apps support procedures and concepts - ITIL Foundation certification - Proficiency in Unix and SQL - Familiarity with Batch Management and Monitoring tools - Ability to work under pressure - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Knowledge in banking applications and server infrastructure - Good interpersonal and communication skills, a great teammate Education: - Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience In this role, you will have a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of tasks and services provided, affecting your team and closely related teams.
