Applications Support Analyst

As an Applications Support Analyst 2 at our company, your role involves applying your specialty area knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. You will be responsible for identifying policy gaps, formulating policies, interpreting data, and making recommendations based on factual information. Your tasks will also include identifying inconsistencies in data, defining business issues, and formulating recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. Your impact will be limited to your own team, and you will work towards accomplishing the objectives of the area. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop a good understanding of application support procedures and concepts - Maintain, identify, and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments - Analyze existing system logic and make recommendations for enhancements or fixes - Formulate and define scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding - Partner with appropriate development and production support areas - Participate in validation and testing activities - Assess the applicability of previous experiences and evaluate options under unforeseen circumstances - Exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical manner - Perform other assigned duties and functions **Qualifications:** - 3-6 years of experience or interest in apps support procedures and concepts - ITIL Foundation certification - Proficiency in Unix and SQL - Experience with batch management and monitoring tools - Ability to work under pressure - Analytical and troubleshooting skills - Knowledge in banking applications and server infrastructure - Good interpersonal and communication skills **Additional Details:** You should have knowledge in Python/Java scripting.
