You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and providing support to end-users. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving application issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of application performance and optimization. Roles & Responsibilities: Expected to perform independently and become an SME. Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. Provide support to end-users and address their queries and concerns. Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement. Conduct root cause analysis for application failures and implement corrective actions. Participate in the development and implementation of application enhancements. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to suggest improvements and optimizations. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills:Proficiency in COBOL. - Good To Have Skills:Experience with Mainframe Application Performance Optimization. - Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies. - Familiarity with mainframe systems and their components. - Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for identifying and resolving application issues. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Effective communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Additional Information: The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in COBOL. This position is based at our Bengaluru office. Completed minimum 15 years of education is required.
