Application Support Engineer

As an Application Support Specialist with over 1 year of relevant experience, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to customers, particularly in the Insurance Domain, preferably General Insurance. Your key tasks will include supporting UAT / SIT environments for various projects and bug fixes, managing user expectations, resolving software and technical queries efficiently, and collaborating with the business teams to prioritize and address issues promptly based on severity levels and business impact understanding. You will work closely with the Product Support team to manage customer inquiries, escalate issues when necessary, and communicate progress and resolutions with customers regularly. Additionally, you will be required to run monitoring reports for usage, performance, and availability, gather logs for initial investigations, and coordinate with end users and L2/L3 support teams to recreate reported issues. Your role will also involve meeting SLAs for response and resolution times, conducting second-level analysis of production issues, coordinating with application vendors for issue resolution within defined timelines, documenting test cases for application bugs, fine-tuning application and database queries, ensuring timely implementation of system changes, and maintaining updated records of business requirements. Furthermore, you will be expected to automate daily tasks, review application users and roles, maintain IT-related documents, develop and implement operational and business systems policies, standards, and procedures, and prepare checklists for daily IT tasks. It is essential to have a passion for working in a dynamic team environment, possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written), attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
