Application Specialist - APMEA HUB

As an Application Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will utilize your strong application technology knowledge and expertise to contribute to various areas within all IT process domains. Your role will involve activities such as solution design, testing, deployment, configuration, development, and users" training. You may also be responsible for configuration governance and master data management to ensure the smooth operation of application customization processes. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, propose, advise, and implement existing IT application technology and solutions/services - Assist in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IT solutions/services - Design applications and software to provide product solutions for specific business needs - Manage and support the entire process of building applications, from design to testing and rollout - Implement applications and provide support services for users - Provide trainings for business users - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Qualifications Required: - 7 years of experience in IT Applications Management and Service Delivery in multinational companies - Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or business management - Experience working with virtual delivery teams and distributed stakeholders - Proficiency in one or more coding languages (e.g., Javascript, C++, Python, Java) - Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as ITIL 4 and L6S Lean 6 Sigma - Experience with development platforms like AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Pega, Docker, Kubernetes - Understanding of functional domains related to the application (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Sales & Marketing) - Strong ability to understand the context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, dedicated to powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies.
