Application Engineer

You should ideally possess a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field along with two years of experience in roles such as Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, Developer, or similar positions. Alternatively, a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in the mentioned fields with five years of relevant experience can also be considered equivalent to the Masters degree requirement, coupled with at least two years of experience. Your one year of experience should include developing solutions specifically for Oracle's e-business suite, utilizing tools like SQL and PLSQL, reports, forms, BI publisher, Workflow Build, and JDeveloper. In this role, you will be part of a team that manages Oracle ERP and custom software platforms of significant volume and complexity globally. As a developer, you will be responsible for making architectural and design decisions, introducing new features, optimizing programs, and creating scalable, performance-oriented solutions within Oracle EBS R12 and other ERP applications. The team culture fosters innovation, and developers are expected to take ownership of technical architecture and project delivery. Your key responsibilities will involve designing, building, and expanding applications, supporting multiple applications within Oracle e-business suite and open-source technologies, creating technical specifications, configuring standard applications, modifying and developing forms and reports, developing interfaces, providing end-user support, leading Junior Developers, addressing critical production issues, and potentially working outside normal business hours. While additional programming skills like Perl and Java are beneficial, they are not mandatory. You must have a solid functional understanding of Oracle e-Business suite in a multi-organization environment, a strong desire to work in a fast-paced setting, the ability to work independently, excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical capabilities, expertise in SQL and PL/SQL best practices, and the knack for translating business requirements into technical specifications for scalable global solutions. Experience in prioritizing tasks, scoping projects, negotiating timelines, root cause analysis, and complex problem-solving will be crucial for success in this role.,
