Appium Tester

As an Appium Tester at this company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable automated test scripts for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms using Appium. Your key responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating significant hands-on experience in automation testing methodologies and frameworks, with a strong emphasis on mobile application testing. - Utilizing your hands-on skills in JavaScript to develop and execute automation scripts, leveraging its capabilities for mobile testing with Appium or other relevant tools. - Possessing proven experience working with either Appium or Playwright for mobile test automation, with familiarity in both being a significant advantage. - Participating in the creation of test plans, test strategies, and test cases. Executing automated test suites, analyzing test results, and identifying, documenting, and tracking defects. - Demonstrating a strong ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues encountered during test automation and execution. - Possessing exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey technical information, test results, and defect reports to both technical and non-technical audiences. Desirable qualifications for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 6 to 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation testing. - Extensive hands-on experience in mobile automation testing using Appium or Playwright. - Solid programming skills in JavaScript. - Experience with test management tools such as Jira and TestRail. - Understanding of mobile application development concepts and testing principles. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
