Apparel Production Coordinator

We are looking for a highly organized and resourceful Production Coordinator to manage the end-to-end flow of garment production — from order intake and raw material sourcing to artisan coordination and quality control. This role acts as the critical link between the design/buying team and the on-ground production units, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and smooth day-to-day functioning of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management & Buyer Coordination

- Collaborate between buyers and production teams to process and allocate orders, document instructions from meetings, and track progress through to shipment.

Inventory & Fabric Management

- Manage procurement, stock, and usage of fabrics and raw materials; source trims and components locally; maintain Fabric Book and stock registers; reconcile bills and oversee issuing, collection, and consumption across production.

Production Planning & Quality

- Plan and monitor daily to monthly workflows, distribute workloads based on artisan skills, resolve technical issues, support training/upskilling, and ensure garment quality through corrections, alterations, and rework.

Finance & Workshop Oversight

- Handle artisan payments, petty cash, monthly accounts, and salary disbursals while maintaining a clean, organized workshop, overseeing assets, and conducting regular team reviews.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in garment production or coordination roles.

• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

• Working knowledge of garment materials and construction processes.

• Basic accounting and inventory management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic digital documentation.

• Excellent communication skills in Hindi and/or English.

• Experience working with artisan communities or decentralized production is a plus.
