We are looking for a highly organized and resourceful Production Coordinator to manage the end-to-end flow of garment production — from order intake and raw material sourcing to artisan coordination and quality control. This role acts as the critical link between the design/buying team and the on-ground production units, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and smooth day-to-day functioning of the workshop. Key Responsibilities: Order Management & Buyer Coordination - Collaborate between buyers and production teams to process and allocate orders, document instructions from meetings, and track progress through to shipment. Inventory & Fabric Management - Manage procurement, stock, and usage of fabrics and raw materials; source trims and components locally; maintain Fabric Book and stock registers; reconcile bills and oversee issuing, collection, and consumption across production. Production Planning & Quality - Plan and monitor daily to monthly workflows, distribute workloads based on artisan skills, resolve technical issues, support training/upskilling, and ensure garment quality through corrections, alterations, and rework. Finance & Workshop Oversight - Handle artisan payments, petty cash, monthly accounts, and salary disbursals while maintaining a clean, organized workshop, overseeing assets, and conducting regular team reviews. Skills & Qualifications 2–4 years of relevant experience in garment production or coordination roles. Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities. Working knowledge of garment materials and construction processes. Basic accounting and inventory management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic digital documentation. Excellent communication skills in Hindi and/or English. Experience working with artisan communities or decentralized production is a plus. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Textile Designer to support our US-based design team in bringing concepts to life through textiles, embroidery, and garment samples. This role offers hands-on experience, collaboration, and opportunities for growth in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Color Standards & Library Management – Develop new seasonal color standards by matching references, maintain the color archive, and create/distribute color cards for internal teams and suppliers. Systematize and update the Color Standard Book. Ensure accuracy in color matching and correction using lightbox technology. Embroidery Design & Development – Work closely with artisans and the U.S. Design Lead to design embroidery concepts that balance creativity, cost, and production feasibility. Oversee thread color availability, initiate and guide embroidery workshops, encourage emerging artisan talent, and manage placements and flow of embroidery during the fast-paced sampling stage. Collaborate with the merchandising team for costings, placements, and artisan scheduling, while ensuring timely approvals and production-friendly outputs. Fabric & Print Development – Partner with suppliers to initiate and direct seasonal print and weave development, drawing from archives as well as new concepts. Provide creative direction, feedback, and assertive follow-ups to push innovative results. Support the transition from sampling to production by creating swatch books and ensuring timely fabric orders in coordination with merchandising. Sample & Line Development – Participate in sample reviews alongside merchandisers and patternmakers to identify and resolve issues of quality, fit, or design execution. Provide supporting visuals (photos, styled looks, fabric shots) for the U.S. design team to improve communication and alignment across teams. Market & Trend Research – Every 1–2 months, prepare reports on design, embroidery, and textile trends observed in artisan-based brands, exhibitions, and high-end design stores. Share insights through sketches, photos, and notes to inform seasonal development. Upcycling & Chindi Products – Contribute to the design and development of upcycled products from scrap fabric, balancing creativity with scalability for production. Collaborate with artisan groups to sort fabrics, experiment with patchwork, and follow through on intermediate processes like over-dyeing or printing. Ensure that sustainability goals and training opportunities are integrated into this development. Qualifications: Degree in Textile/Fashion Design or related field. Strong eye for color, pattern, and embroidery. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop preferred. Ability to collaborate effectively with artisans, suppliers, and cross-cultural teams. Organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple fast-moving projects.
