Overview

We are seeking an experienced Apigee Integration Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and managing APIs and integration workflows using Google Cloud Apigee. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in API proxy creation, policy implementation, and connecting backend systems through secure and scalable integrations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless API solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in API and integration development using Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
Proficiency in designing and implementing API proxies, shared flows, and custom policies.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols.
Expertise in API security standards such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API key management.
Experience in API lifecycle management – design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Hands-on knowledge of backend integrations using databases, microservices, and third-party APIs.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and deployment automation for APIs.
Strong debugging and performance optimization skills for high-traffic APIs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with distributed teams across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and manage API proxies and integration flows using Apigee.
Implement policies for security, transformation, traffic management, and mediation.
Integrate APIs with backend services and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
Configure analytics dashboards to monitor API usage, performance, and errors.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure best practices in API design and governance.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Apigee hybrid deployments.
Exposure to other integration tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Logic Apps).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
Knowledge of event-driven integrations using Pub/Sub, Kafka, or messaging queues.
Apigee or API Management certification (Google Cloud or equivalent).
