API Engineer

As an API Engineer at GlobalLogic, your role involves designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure APIs to support data platform integration with internal and external systems. Your focus will be on building high-performance, secure, and reliable RESTful APIs to facilitate complex data flows within the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain APIs that support real-time and batch data flows. - Ensure well-documented, secure, and performant APIs. - Collaborate with front-end and data engineers to integrate data APIs into platform features. - Implement API security best practices (authentication, authorization, rate limiting, etc.). - Troubleshoot API performance issues and ensure minimal downtime. - Design scalable APIs to accommodate growing data volumes. **Qualifications Required:** - 3+ years of experience in API development, preferably in a data-driven or financial context. - Proficiency in API technologies (REST, GraphQL) and tools (Postman, Swagger). - Familiarity with data integration platforms such as Kafka, Debezium. - Experience in designing secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or other backend languages. - Experience with cloud platforms and serverless architectures.
