Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Ansible Engineer (VMware & Windows) at Cloudologic. The Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, managing infrastructure, Windows systems, and system administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VMware virtualization environments and Windows infrastructure, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for enterprise-level deployments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain

    Ansible playbooks

    and automation scripts for Windows and VMware environments.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and deployment tasks.
  • Integrate Ansible with VMware vSphere for VM lifecycle management.
  • Manage and maintain

    Windows Server infrastructure

    (Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, etc.) through automation.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, DevOps teams, and developers to streamline IT operations.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation workflows.
  • Maintain documentation for automation processes, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years

    of experience in Ansible automation and orchestration.
  • Strong knowledge of

    VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter

    administration.
  • Hands-on experience managing

    Windows Server 2016/2019/2022

    environments.
  • Expertise in writing Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules.
  • Knowledge of

    PowerShell scripting

    and YAML.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).


Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with

    Linux systems

    and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with

    Ansible Tower/AWX

    .
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration with VMware.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
