Android Developer

Role & responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with external data sources and APIs, ensuring smooth integration.
• Optimize applications for performance, usability, and scalability.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to improve app stability and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, libraries, and tools.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and follow agile development practices.
• Participate in the complete application lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, and release.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2 4 years of experience in Android app development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java programming languages.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, UI/UX design principles, and best practices.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs such as Retrofit, Glide, or similar.
• Familiarity with tools like Android Studio, Gradle, and version control systems like Git.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
• Knowledge of MVVM or other design patterns for building scalable applications.
• Experience with push notifications and cloud message APIs (e.g., Firebase).
• Good understanding of performance optimization techniques.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Jetpack components like Compose, Navigation, and LiveData.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app deployment.
• Familiarity with the Google Play Store submission process and guidelines.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, Espresso, or similar.
