Description
Role Objective
Lead and deliver data and analytics projects that create business value. Ensure projects align with organizational goals while promoting technical excellence, compliance, and innovation.
Role Detailing
a. Project / Program Planning & Strategy
Gather and analyze requirements from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, and convert business needs into actionable plans.
Create roadmaps for programs and manage multiple analytics and ML projects (e.g., Enterprise Analytics Platform, Recommendation Engines, Pricing Engines).
Define objectives, KPIs, and milestones ensuring scalability and technical feasibility.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Design frameworks for modular expansion and integration of new domains or products.
b. Project / Program Execution & Delivery
Manage end-to-end delivery, including resource allocation, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
Use Agile methods and tools like JIRA for tracking and transparency.
Address bottlenecks and adapt plans to changing business needs.
Oversee multi-phase projects ensuring timely and quality delivery.
c. Technical Skills
Basic understanding of Analytics, ML concepts, data pipelines, and model deployment.
Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau for visualization and reporting.
Ability to work with structured/unstructured data and basic SQL knowledge.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and related services.
Proficiency in JIRA and knowledge of GitHub for code management.
Basic Understanding Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and its implementation.
d. Stakeholder & Change Management
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
Implement change management strategies for smooth adoption.
Balance competing priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Provide regular updates to leadership on progress and impact.
e. Governance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and quality standards.
Implement governance for metadata, data lineage, and retention policies.
Collaborate across teams to maintain regulatory compliance.
f. Continuous Improvement
Promote a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
Conduct reviews and apply lessons learned to future projects.
Encourage adoption of new tools and automation for efficiency.
g. Finance Management
Manage budgets and control costs for maximum value.
Track resource utilization and prepare ROI analyses for new initiatives.
h. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Define and track KPIs for program performance.
Prepare status reports highlighting milestones, risks, and outcomes.
Use insights to guide future planning and resource allocation.
Preferred Certifications & Education
PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP or equivalent.
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
CDMP or similar data management certification.
Bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
