Analyst / Senior Analyst-Control Management

Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate on investigations and conduct root cause analysis to address repeated issue types - Perform quality assurance on documentation of specific issue types, urgency, severity/impact, and impact analysis - Support remediation process by tracking progress, validating resolution efficacy, and communicating status updates to stakeholders - Identify trends in issues and events to pinpoint potential systemic risks or control weaknesses within business unit processes - Conduct sample testing of specific issues to ensure resolution effectiveness - Analyze data to prepare detailed reports on issue status, trends, and outcomes - Share insights, best practices, and themes across the enterprise - Create reports and Tableau dashboards for leadership, stakeholders, and the wider control management team - Prepare data for committee escalations and internal business meetings - Design Tableau dashboards for the broader control management team Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of experience in operational risk management within Risk and/or Internal Audit function - Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities - Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills - Experience in process governance aligning with policies, regulatory frameworks, and operational standards - Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis, trend identification, and evaluation of risk scenarios Additional Details: American Express provides benefits to support your overall well-being, including competitive base salaries, bonus incentives, financial well-being and retirement support, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability benefits, flexible working models, generous paid parental leave policies, access to on-site wellness centers, counseling support, and career development opportunities.
