In this role at American Express, you will play a crucial part in Business Continuity Management (BCM) to ensure the resilience, continuity, and response capabilities to protect employees, customers, and products in times of disruptions. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the quality assurance and consequence management framework for BCM program adherence. - Providing guidance on BCM best practices, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders. - Collaborating with Business Unit teams to identify key business functions, conduct risk assessments, and identify dependencies. - Reviewing business impact analyses (BIAs), business continuity plans, and risk mitigation strategies to align with resilience objectives. - Ensuring BCM documentation meets compliance standards and overseeing program requirements. Qualifications required for this role include: Experience and Background: - 1+ years of experience in Risk Management and/or Business Continuity, with a preference for Risk Oversight. - Strong understanding of American Express products, services, and organizational structure. - Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and manage multiple priorities. - Analytical skills to draw insights from data. - Bachelors degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. - Proficiency in MS Office tools. Leadership Skills: - Self-confident, integrity-driven, and able to communicate key risks effectively. - Structured thinking and clear communication skills.
