Business Segment Overview

Corporate:

Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. You will have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement procedures for data movement, quality, and business analysis as part of our Global Customer Data Hub department.
Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

The global customer data hub is an important part of StoneX Group Inc. s overall technology and data strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager Data Delivery, the Junior Business Analyst assumes ownership of data and business analysis, production operations coordination, and data quality activities. They will have dotted line reporting to more senior technical and business analysts and will work on projects on both an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.

Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Business Data:

    • Perform detailed analysis of business data to identify trends and insights.
    • Utilize data visualization tools to present findings.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Document Requirements for Development:

    • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements.
    • Translate business needs into technical specifications (e.g. Source to Target).
    • Ensure clear communication between development and testing teams.
  • Handle Data Operations Support:

    • Identify the right developers to provide Level 1/2 support for data operations issues.
    • Support troubleshooting and resolve data-related problems.
    • Coordinate with various teams to ensure smooth data operations.
    • Monitor data workflows and processes to identify trends in issues and incidents.
  • Support Data Quality Assurance:

    • Participate in efforts to improve the quality of data in the Data Lakehouse and MDM.
    • Conduct system, integration and regression tests on projects as assigned
    • Resolve bugs in the code and data quality issues identified
    • Monitor data quality and integrity.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
    • 0 2 years of relevant experience in a data or business analysis role (internships or academic projects count).
  • Skill Set:

    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
    • Basic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) and Excel.
    • Experience with SQL, Python and Spark as part of academic or industry projects
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving problems.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to data warehousing concepts, data lakes, and MDM systems.
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (such as Databricks on Azure)
  • Experience working with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
