This role is specific to the Managed Returns service where you will be supporting taxpayers with their complex inquiries. In this role, you should expect to dedicate a portion of your day fielding communication, both internal and external, regarding topics such as setup, maintenance and the successful use of the Managed Returns service. To succeed, you must be comfortable taking ownership of your customer s overall satisfaction and you must be empathetic to customer needs. Your understanding of the customer s needs will enable them to get the full benefit of Avalara s expertise and software enabling them to self-serve where possible. Compliance is complex, so your ability to set expectations and relay information clearly and in an easily understood manner is essential; this includes potential escalations where clear and timely communication is imperative.
