Job Description

Key Responsibilities (Building Construction)

Procurement & Vendor Management

Prepare
RFQs, RFIs, and BOQs
based on approved drawings and specifications
Identify, evaluate, and onboard
approved electrical vendors and suppliers
Negotiate
prices, delivery schedules, payment terms
, and warranties
Finalize
Purchase Orders (POs)
as per company delegation of authority

Material Planning & Coordination

Coordinate with
project, design, and planning teams
for material requirements
Ensure
timely procurement
to meet project schedules
Track order status, delivery schedules, and follow up with suppliers

Technical & Quality Compliance

Ensure materials conform to
technical specifications, IS standards, and client approvals
Coordinate for
material approvals, samples, and technical submittals
Resolve
technical deviations
in consultation with design/engineering teams

Cost Control & Documentation

Prepare
comparative statements (CS)
and cost analysis reports
Maintain procurement records, PO registers, and vendor documentation
Support
budget control and cost-saving initiatives

Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with
stores for GRN, inspection, and inventory reconciliation
Handle
material rejections, replacements, and claims
Prepare
MIS reports
related to procurement status and savings

Key Materials & Systems Handled

LT/HT Panels, Transformers, DG Sets
Cables, Cable Trays, Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems
Switchgear, Switches & Sockets, Lighting Fixtures
UPS, VFDs, MCCs, Fire Alarm & ELV systems

Qualifications

BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Experience

5-12 years
of experience in electrical procurement in Building Construction.
Experience in
EPC / Construction / MEP / Infrastructure projects
preferred
