AM/DM Clutch & Release System

As a Clutch and Clutch Release System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating clutch and clutch release systems for automobiles. Your main duties will include designing and developing automotive transmission clutch and release systems, as well as analyzing vehicle layout, clutch cables, pipes, and other related components. You will need to conduct part level evaluations, vehicle level clutch performance assessments, and NVH tuning to ensure optimal system functionality. Additionally, you will be expected to analyze market problems and failures related to clutch and clutch release systems, addressing any detrimental effects on vehicle performance. In terms of technical competence, you should be proficient in CAD and drafting, ideally with experience in Uni-graphics. Knowledge of project management systems, engineering BOM systems, and clutch and release system specification design based on vehicle requirements is essential. You should also be familiar with clutch NVH filtration, interpretation of NVH data, and factors affecting vehicle level performance. Experience with other damping solutions like Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) and Wet clutches for Hybrid applications is preferred. A strong understanding of DFMEA, root cause analysis, and manual transmission sub-systems is required for effective design and analysis. Furthermore, expertise in engine systems is necessary to meet clutch specification requirements. On the behavioral side, you should demonstrate good planning, monitoring, and tracking skills to ensure timely completion of development milestones. Strong documentation and knowledge management capabilities are crucial, along with self-motivation, flexibility, and teamwork. Effective networking, communication, and presentation skills are also important for this role. Ideally, you should have previous work experience in an OEM environment, specifically in clutch and clutch release system design and development.
