AM / DM R&D(Research & Development )

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the job is to conduct R&D activities and transferring results, in order to identify and solve complex technical problems and carry out ground breaking research in core business and related areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

• Identifies emerging fields for research
• Identifies research fields to help current businesses
• Investigates the feasibility of applying a variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential new inventions and products. Develops evaluation framework and evaluates identified emerging fields
• Designs, implements and executes scientific R&D projects in collaboration with research Institutes and organizations. Engages with research institutes and organizations to explore fields of collaborative research
• Uses professional concepts and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult scientific problems in imaginative ways. Reviews technical aspects of proposed solutions
• Provides required technical inputs to related to Strategy and Economics
• Communicates regularly with GGSR Technical/ Operations Marketing teams to identify existing emerging issues
• Contributes as a team member on development projects carrying out assigned responsibilities in a timely, diligent, safe, and professional manner.
• Directly supervises a team of Engineers and Scientists
• Provides scientific and technical guidance and training to team members.
• Participates in development of patent applications
• Makes important contributions to scientific literature and conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS & BACKGROUND

Educational Qualifications:

The candidate should possess a B.E. or B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering. Candidates with M.E. M. Tech PhD in Chemical Engineering will be given preference. The candidate should have acquired all graduate and postgraduate degrees from a reputed college university with a minimum of 60% marks at each level.

Experience:

The candidate should have at least 5-10 years of experience in R&D of a continuous process industries like Refineries, Petrochemical Plants, and Fertilizer Plants etc. The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in leading a team of more than two engineers scientists.
