Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The candidate will be responsible for the design and development of new innovative advanced analytical solutions to solve process business problems and having skills to commission and sustain the advance analytical solutions across the refinery. Lead in developing solutions for process optimization using advance analytics, RTO, APC etc. and data visualization through various data visualization techniques. Assist in developing advance analytics culture in the organization in an efficient manner.

Key Activities

Design and Development

• Assist in benefit scoping studies for implementing Advance analytics solutions across refinery.
• Work with different stake holders across refinery to develop and finalize the analytical solution for process optimization and implement the solution across various process units in refinery.
• Identify and develop new opportunities for unit optimization.

Implementation of projects

• Lead critical project activities for building and deploying analytical solutions for process optimization.
• Ensure timely implementation of Optimization strategies in various units.
• Provide useful process insights through sprawling data sets and converting these insights to opportunities in HMEL
• Carry out Benefit evaluation post implementation of Projects.
• Maintain dynamic work relationship with all key departments.
• Ensure proper documentation is prepared and maintained for the various solution applications.
• Follow the health and safety policy of the organization.
• Ability to multi-task on various analytics project in the organization.

Operations & Maintenance

• Sustain Performance of analytical solutions and process control strategies implemented in various units.
• Assist optimization team in solving process issues using various analytical tools.
• Review the performance of solutions implemented in different process units on daily basis.
• Ensure upkeep of maintenance of all associated software and hardware.
• Develop and Generate Reports on the performance of various optimization solutions at the desired frequency using appropriate software tools.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Console operators in keeping applications online.
• Work to achieve and meet departmental goals and targets.

Training and

• Assist in developing effective training program for various analytical solutions.
• Self-learning on the latest analytical tools and technology in process control & Optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidate should have a Degree in Chemical Engineering with minimum 11-20 years of experience in refinery/petrochemical plant.
• Additional consideration will be given for candidates with advance analytics certification from a reputed institute.
• Candidate with hands-on experience in implementation of data analytics or similar tools in Process units will be preferred. Also candidate having expertise in statistics/ visualization tools including PowerBI will be given due consideration.
• Candidate having experience in implementation of refinery process optimization tools like APC and RTO will be desirable.
• Candidates should have good knowledge of Refinery Petrochemicals Operation and Process Technologies.
• Knowledge of Process Modeling and Simulation and Optimization concepts related to process plants would be desirable.
• Candidate should have problem solving, communication, team playing and inter-personal skills.
