Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Project management:
Manage and oversee the construction process from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Site assessment and analysis:
Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess local and environmental impacts and potential risks.
Collaboration:
Work closely with architects, surveyors, contractors, government agencies, and other engineers to ensure projects meet requirements.
Quality and compliance:
Ensure all projects are structurally sound, safe, and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations and environmental standards.
Documentation:
Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction documents, and specifications.
Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance of existing public works and infrastructure.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, both theoretical and practical.
Proficiency with CAD and other design software.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Risk assessment and analysis skills.
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering is typically required.
Professional licenses or certifications may be necessary.
