Aluminium & stainless steel pipe furniture engineer cum designer

The Aluminum & Stainless Steel Pipe Furniture Engineer cum Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the fabrication of high-quality aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel/iron-based furniture and structures. This role involves conceptualizing innovative designs, preparing detailed CAD drawings, selecting suitable materials, and ensuring precision in manufacturing processes. The individual will also manage the fabrication unit, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, and adherence to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:

● Conceptualize and create innovative furniture designs using aluminum and stainless steel pipes.

● Develop detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, and technical blueprints for production, including formwork designs (both circular and straight) and other industrial furniture using mild steel/iron.

● Conduct material selection and testing to ensure durability, strength, and aesthetic appeal.

● Ensure designs are ergonomic, functional, and cost-effective.

Fabrication & Production:

● Oversee the fabrication process, ensuring precision in cutting, bending, welding, and finishing of aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel/iron pipes.

● Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot technical challenges and optimize manufacturing workflows.

● Ensure adherence to quality control standards, checking for accuracy in measurements and final finishes.

● Maintain and improve workshop efficiency, including managing tools, equipment, and resources.

● Implement sustainable and safe manufacturing practices.

Project Management & Execution:

● Coordinate with suppliers for raw material procurement and ensure timely delivery.

● Monitor project timelines, ensuring all fabrication work aligns with delivery schedules.

● Supervise fabrication staff, providing guidance and technical expertise when needed.

● Maintain records of design modifications, material usage, and production costs.

● Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.

● 3–5 years of experience in furniture design and metal fabrication, particularly with aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel/iron.

● Prior experience managing a fabrication workshop or production unit is an advantage.

● Experience in designing and fabricating formwork is a strong plus.

● Experience in developing healthcare equipment (e.g., hospital beds, trays, walkers) is a definite plus.

● Accuracy in technical drawings and design feasibility.

● Quality of finished furniture and industrial pieces, including structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
