Job Description

Experience- 7 - 10 Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) Must-Have Basic Unix Administration – user, groups, sudoers, paging, dump management Good knowledge in AIX and Linux LVM concepts. AIX and Linux OS Installation, Upgradation, Patching Troubleshooting OS errors and OS recovery procedures using mksysb backup. Good in NIM Administration, Linux Satellite Server concepts Strong communication skills Good-to-Have Intermediate knowledge on shell scripting, understanding of shells (Bash, Korn, C), Scripting knowledge IBM VIOS & PowerHA Cluster Administration Azure skills SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1 Perform AIX and Suse Linux Patching, Efix installations 2 SAP Cutover Activities: PowerHA Cluster Management and Administration. 3 User management, Group management, Sudoers file update, Paging management 4 Filesystem resize on standalone (Linux) & in PowerHA Cluster environment (AIX). 5 Consulting & Administration: Performance analysis, Monitoring and end user Unix consultation 6 Troubleshooting: Fixes/Analysis general Unix issues. HADR - High Availability support, Disaster recovery 7 Oncall support end to end for Production servers in Out of office, Business as usual activities as a Unix Admin. 8 Should have strong & Good troubleshooting skills 9 Should be able to support thru Oncall method for High priority incidents Show more Show less
