JD for the AIX role

• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of AIX Servers and configuring and maintaining cluster together with following:
• Server Reinstallation and configuration.
• Experience in supporting AIX (6.1, 7.1,7.2) and P-Series server technologies in a business infrastructure environment is a must.
• Experience of systems management using Virtualisation technologies (VIO) is essential.
• Experience of supporting RHEL server technologies is essential.
• AIX or RHEL certifications relevant to systems administration would be preferable.
• Experience of administering and supporting multiple systems in a complex and distributed environment, including the day to day management of resources and issues.
• Experience of installing, configuring and upgrading infrastructure systems, experience of NIM is desirable.
• Restoring OS from MKSYS backup
• Support during Software Installation.
• Define Account Policy.
• Initiate changes, participate in Change Meetings, Implement Changes
• Password length and Password Age
• Define Administrator / Supervisor Password restrictions.
• Managing Disk space, Processor Utilization, Network Utilization related to server
• Managing Volume Groups (Creation / exporting / Vary on / vary off )
• LVM Administration, Cluster Management (HACMP ), File system Administration, Analysis of log files.
• Root Cause Analysis
• Problem Management
• Backup Configuration
• Performance management for Disk / Storage / Switches, Restoration Drill
• Patch Management (Update / Preview / Rollback), OS hardening, OS Troubleshooting, Implementing Changes, Scripting and Automation, Knowledge on Storage switches,
• Exposure on SAN, NFS mount, Administration Management of LPAR / HPARCluster Administration (HACMP)
• Conduct Audits on need and recommend structural changes.
• Participate in the BCP Programs of CUSTOMER and make the necessary Reports
