Electronics Engineer III

Roles & responsibilities:

• Design and develop hardware, including optimising designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Work on obsolescence activities with higher complexity to qualify form, fit and functional
  replacements, perform testing to qualify and release in the system, along with the documentation.
• End-to-end ownership: Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team comprising mechanical, software, system and process engineering (in different geographies) to develop and qualify engineering solutions
• Rapidly generate design concepts that will develop into detailed drawings to manufacture those
  concepts.
• Conduct failure analysis, identify root cause and recommend design solution.
• Participate in design reviews to present the design throughout the different phases of design and
  development.
• Work on Cable harness design using design software

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelors degree in Electronics with experience of 5-8 years
• Master's degree is preferred with experience of 3-6 years
• Must be comfortable working with US-based timings
  

Mandatory Skills:

• Must have a good understanding of the electronics components, schematics/system interconnect, analog/digital electronics, sensors and power supplies.
• Must be able to select and recommend components depending upon application and circuit requirements.
• Hands-on experience of testing electronics components- bench-level test and system-level test.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Critical/system-level thinking.
• Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  

Good to have:

• Exposure of working on part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system.
• Experience in working on electronic components obsolescence
• Experience with microcontrollers, PLCs, machine control systems, and automation interfaces
• Hands-on experience on PCB design tools/AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
• Hands-on experience of testing electronics components- bench-level test and system-level test.
