Job Description

As an Air & Ocean Import Executive at our company, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end import operations across air and sea modes. Your strong knowledge of import documentation, customs processes, and coordination with overseas agents will ensure smooth and timely handling of all shipments. - **Air & Ocean Import Operations:** - Handle complete Air & Ocean Import operations from pre-alert to final delivery. - Coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, co-loaders, overseas agents, transporters, and CHAs. - Monitor shipment movement, track arrival, and ensure timely D/O release and cargo clearance. - **Documentation & Compliance:** - Prepare and verify MAWB/HAWB, MBL/HBL, IGM filing, Delivery Order, Customs documentation, and other import formalities. - Ensure accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, HS codes, and other regulatory documents. - Handle arrival notices, detention/demurrage, discrepancy management, and resolve documentation issues. - **Customer Coordination:** - Communicate with clients for shipment status, documentation requirements, and operational updates. - Provide timely and accurate shipment tracking and support. - Maintain customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving. - **Billing & Reporting:** - Prepare and verify job files, costing sheets, invoices, debit/credit notes, and ensure billing accuracy. - Maintain and update MIS reports, shipment trackers, and close jobs on time. - **Liaison & Compliance:** - Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT policies, airline Ice Gate/shipping line SOPs, and internal procedures. - Coordinate with CHA for smooth customs clearance for both air and ocean imports. - Arrange transportation, cargo movement, and ensure timely delivery. **Required Skills & Competencies:** - 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Air & Ocean Import operations within the freight forwarding industry. - Strong understanding of customs procedures, HS codes, import regulations, and documentation. - Proficient in handling Airline/Shipping Line portals and MS Office (Excel, Word). - Strong coordination, communication, and time-management skills. - Ability to multitask and work under pressure. - Customer-focused with strong attention to detail.
