Crop Science

Role Purpose

Own top-line & distribution growth for ABTL’s bio-fertilizer, bio-pesticide and organic product portfolio in the assigned territory; build a high-quality channel, drive on-ground demand through demonstrations and farmer connect programs, and win institutional accounts (FPOs, co-ops, plantations, sugar mills).

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue:
Deliver monthly/quarterly volume, value and collection targets; maintain product mix and contribution norms.
Channel Management:
Appoint & onboard distributors/stockists; optimize beat plans; ensure secondary sales pull via retailers/KVKs/ATMA networks.
Demand Generation:
Plan and execute
farmer meetings, field demos, result trials
, and retailer meets; leverage seasonality & crop calendars.
Key Accounts:
Acquire and manage
FPOs, co-operatives, large growers, nurseries, sugar & tea estates
; negotiate rate contracts, supply plans and in-season programs.
Portfolio Execution:
Position bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides and organic SKUs per crop & stage; ensure label compliance and best-use recommendations.
Market Intelligence:
Track competitor schemes, pricing, new launches; share weekly inputs to marketing and supply chain.
Team & Partners:
Guide field executives/TSMs and agri-consultants; train channel partners and retailers on product stewardship and application.
Process & Compliance:
Timely
forecasting
, order booking, GR/DR reconciliation, claims documentation, and adherence to company credit policy.
Brand & Events:
Represent ABTL at agri fairs, Kisan Melas, university outreach, and sustainability programs.
