The ePlane Company, incubated at IIT Madras since 2019, is developing India’s first flying electric taxi aimed at making urban commutes and cargo transport faster and more efficient. Founded by Professor Satya Chakravarthy, the company's vision is to alleviate traffic congestion with safe, sustainable, and affordable flying experiences through its flagship product, the ePlane e200x. We strive to make flying an everyday reality and ultimately defy gravity.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Agriculture Drone Pilot, located in Telhara. The Agriculture Drone Pilot will be responsible for operating drones in agricultural settings, ensuring accurate deployment and data collection. Daily tasks include piloting UAVs for crop monitoring, conducting training sessions on drone usage, and performing regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. The pilot will also assist in data analysis and reporting, working closely with agronomists and farmers to enhance crop productivity.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Drone Piloting, Piloting UAVs, and general Drones knowledge
  • Experience in conducting Training sessions for drone usage and operations
  • Knowledge of agricultural practices and how UAVs contribute to them is a plus
  • Ability to work independently on-site in Telhara
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Relevant certifications in UAV operation and drone piloting
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Agriculture, Engineering, or Environmental Science is preferred
