Agricultural Engineer

We are seeking a qualified Agricultural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Coordination

• Coordinate with leaf suppliers and representatives to ensure timely and quality delivery of raw material
  
• Monitor the quantity and moisture condition of incoming leaf loads
  
• Manage incoming material records and communicate supply trends or concerns
  

2. Production Oversight

• Oversee operation of leaf dryers to ensure drying below target moisture (below 8 percent)
  
• Assist in scheduling, loading, unloading, and monitoring of drying batches
  
• Track and report production KPIs such as drying time, efficiency, and losses
  
• Identify and help address bottlenecks in daily operations
  

3. Technical Support and Maintenance Coordination

• Collaborate with the technical consultant on preventive and corrective maintenance of dryers and equipment
  
• Help maintain operational readiness of the plant and report mechanical issues early
  
• Ensure safe operation procedures are followed
  

4. Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain accurate logs of supply received, batches dried, equipment maintenance, and quality checks in coordination with the procurement team
  
• Support the consultant and management in adhering to compliance or audit requirements
  
• Implement and update standard operating procedures as needed
  

5. Quality and Process Improvement

• Monitor product quality at various stages and suggest improvements
  
• Participate in trials or changes in drying processes for efficiency gains
  
• Ensure proper housekeeping and hygiene at the facility
  

Requirements

• Strong coordination and communication skills
  
• Working knowledge of moisture management and basic equipment troubleshooting
  
• Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation
  
• Basic familiarity with quality systems or ISO or GMP documentation preferred
  
• Willingness to work on-site, including early mornings or extended hours during peak season
