Areas/Accountabilities

• Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain Zabbix servers, agents, and proxies.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Configure and manage monitoring templates, triggers, and actions to ensure timely alerting and notification.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Zabbix, including agent and server connectivity, data collection, and alerting.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Zabbix performance, including database tuning, caching, and load balancing.
• Integration and Automation: Integrate Zabbix with other tools and systems, such as ticketing systems, CMDBs, and automation frameworks.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure Zabbix security and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
• Documentation and Training: Maintain accurate documentation and provide training to other teams on Zabbix usage and best practices.
• Upgrade and Patch Management: Perform regular upgrades and patch management to ensure Zabbix is up-to-date and secure.

Knowledge, Experience

• Experience: 3+ years of experience with Zabbix administration.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking protocols, and database management.
• Certifications: Zabbix certification (e.g., Zabbix Certified Specialist) is a plus.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• B.E (E&TC Preferred) / MTECH
• Bachelors degree in

• Experience with other monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
