Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead production planning, process design, and operational readiness for a greenfield chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations from project stage through commissioning and stabilization.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and manage
raw material requirements
in line with production plans, process yields, and inventory norms.
Ensure
P&ID preparation, validation, and continuous updating
to reflect actual site conditions and process changes.
Design small process systems
, define operating philosophy, and specify required equipment (pumps, exchangers, reactors, utilities, etc.).
Track and manage
process changes at site
, update SOPs, and develop
checklists and daily round sheets
for operations.
Monitor and analyze
equipment effectiveness (OEE / uptime / reliability)
and initiate improvement actions.
Identify and propose
cost-saving and process optimization programs
without compromising safety or quality.
Perform
basic process engineering calculations
, including piping sizing, pump selection, heat exchanger design, and hydraulic calculations.
Conduct
failure and root cause analysis (RCA)
for process and equipment issues; recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Projects, and Safety teams during erection, commissioning, and ramp-up.

process safety, quality standards, and statutory requirements
