About the Role

AEM Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend implementation and integration of third-party services with AEM.
• Architect and define scalable Java services using Apache Sling and Java Content Repository (JCR).
• Configure and optimize AEM Dispatcher for performance and security.
• Collaborate with frontend developers using HTML, CSS, SASS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Interface directly with clients to gather and understand business requirements.
• Debug, test, and maintain backend code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Work closely with business analysts, QA, and other developers in an Agile environment.
• Leverage AEM Assets effectively for content and media management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in

  AEM backend development

  and

  Java-based services

  .
• Proficiency in

  Apache Sling

  ,

  JCR

  , and

  AEM Dispatcher configuration

  .
• Solid understanding of

  HTML, CSS, SASS

  , and at least one modern

  JavaScript framework

  .
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum

  teams.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Relevant

  AEM certifications

  (e.g., Adobe Certified Expert - AEM Sites Developer) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  AEM Assets

  and digital asset management.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Adobe Cloud, AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
