Admissions Counsellor

Location: Sofia Public School, Chokkanahalli, Bengaluru

Role Overview:
The Admissions Counsellor will be the primary contact for new and prospective parents, providing guidance throughout the admissions process and showcasing the school’s unique strengths. In addition, the counsellor will actively participate in marketing activities to help increase brand visibility, reach, and admissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage promptly and courteously with walk-in, phone, and online admission inquiries
• Conduct school tours, highlighting facilities, academic programs, and achievements
• Provide clear information on curriculum, fee structure, and admissions process
• Guide parents and students through application/documentation steps
• Maintain accurate records of all queries, leads, and follow-up actions
• Address parent concerns empathetically, encourage conversion, and conduct post-visit follow-ups
• Gather, document, and relay parent feedback for management review
• Collaborate with the marketing team to:
• Support planning and execution of admissions events, open houses, expos, and carnivals
• Help create content (testimonials, FAQs) for marketing materials and social media
• Participate in school outreach efforts (flyer distribution, apartment/mall activities, etc.)
• Represent the school at community events and exhibitions
• Assist in tracking and analyzing admissions marketing campaigns

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent verbal and written communication (English & Kannada preferred)
• Warm, approachable personality with strong people and persuasion skills
• Experience in customer service, marketing, counselling, or educational admissions (preferred)
• Organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and creative
• Passion for education and commitment to school values

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; additional training in counselling, marketing, or education is a plus
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar or customer-facing/marketing role preferred
