Job Description

The Admission Officer is responsible for managing the entire student admission process—from enquiry handling to enrolment—while providing accurate information to parents and ensuring a positive admission experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdmission Management

  • Handle walk-in, phone, and online admission enquiries.
  • Explain school curriculum, facilities, fee structure, and policies to parents.
  • Guide parents smoothly through the admission process.

Lead Conversion & Counselling

  • Counsel parents and students to support informed admission decisions.
  • Follow up on enquiries and convert leads into confirmed admissions.
  • Maintain enquiry, follow-up, and admission records accurately.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Collect, verify, and maintain student admission documents.
  • Ensure admissions comply with board, government, and school guidelines.
  • Coordinate with accounts and administration for fee payments.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with academic, transport, and hostel teams during admissions.
  • Support PR and marketing teams during admission campaigns and open houses.
  • Share regular admission status reports with management.

Events & Outreach

  • Support admission events, school tours, and parent orientation programs.
  • Represent the school professionally during fairs and outreach activities.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and counselling skills
  • Persuasive yet ethical approach
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building ability
  • Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP / Admission software)
  • Ability to handle pressure during peak admission season

Qualifications

  • Any graduate (Education background preferred)
  • Prior experience in school admissions or education sales is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
