Admission Counsellor

Job Description

Ikigai School of AI is looking for a confident and student-centric Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students and working professionals in choosing the right AI and technology programs.

This role involves student counselling, lead handling, and admissions support, with a strong focus on understanding learner needs and converting inquiries into enrollments through ethical and value-driven counselling.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students, parents, and working professionals about AI, Data Science, and technology programs offered by Ikigai School of AI.
• Handle inbound and outbound leads via calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, and online inquiries.
• Understand student background, career goals, and skill gaps, and recommend suitable programs.
• Explain course structure, curriculum, duration, fees, certification, and career outcomes clearly.
• Follow up with prospective students and maintain a strong conversion pipeline.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and admissions in CRM or tracking sheets.
• Coordinate with marketing, operations, and academic teams to ensure a smooth admission process.
• Participate in seminars, workshops, campus drives, and counselling events when required.
• Meet monthly admission and counselling targets in a professional and ethical manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA or relevant certification preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in counselling, admissions, sales, or education consulting.
• Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi (spoken mandatory).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with students and parents.
• Comfortable with calling, follow-ups, and handling walk-in enquiries.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Google Sheets, CRM tools).
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and team-friendly attitude.

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Prior experience in EdTech, coaching institutes, or training organizations.
• Knowledge of AI, Data Science, or technology courses (training will be provided).
• Experience in student admissions or career counselling.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
