Job Description

The Admission Counsellor serves as the first point of contact for prospective parents and students, providing guidance throughout the admission process. The role involves effective communication, relationship-building, and coordination to ensure a smooth and positive experience for every applicant while meeting the institution’s enrolment goals.

Key Responsibilities:1. Enquiry Handling & Counselling

  • Attend to admission enquiries through calls, emails, walk-ins, and online platforms.
  • Counsel prospective parents and students about curriculum options (e.g., Cambridge, CBSE, IB, etc.), school ethos, teaching methods, and extracurricular offerings.
  • Schedule and conduct campus tours for parents and prospective students.
  • Provide accurate and updated information on admission policies, fee structure, and documentation requirements.

2. Admission Process Management

  • Coordinate the entire admission process from enquiry to enrolment.
  • Follow up with parents for application forms, document submissions, assessments, and interviews.
  • Maintain and update enquiry and admission trackers in the school management system.
  • Ensure timely communication of admission status to parents.
  • Assist in generating admission-related reports and data analysis for management.

3. Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain a strong rapport with parents, prospective students, and feeder schools.
  • Provide ongoing support and engagement to parents during the transition and onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.

4. Marketing & Outreach Support

  • Support marketing initiatives like open houses, school fairs, education expos, and orientation events.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department for content, visuals, and promotional materials.
  • Assist in creating presentations, brochures, and communication material for prospective parents.

5. Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, conversions, and follow-ups.
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports on leads, visits, and admission conversions.
  • Analyze trends to provide insights on admission patterns and parent expectations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education, Marketing, Psychology, or Communication).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in school or college admissions/counselling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM/school ERP software.
  • Ability to handle parent queries with empathy, professionalism, and patience.
  • Pleasant personality with a service-oriented attitude.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge, IB, or IGCSE.
  • Prior experience in an educational institution with a focus on student recruitment or public relations.
  • Bilingual communication skills (English and local language).

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time (Monday to Saturday)
  • Flexible hours during admission peak seasons and school events

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,334.38 - ₹38,724.61 per month
