Job Description

The accounts payable Intern will assist the accounts payable team with various tasks related to the processing and recording of financial transactions. This role provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a corporate finance environment, learning about financial processes, and gaining exposure to the operations of a busy finance department.

Selected Intern’s Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

Assisting in the review and verification of invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
Entering invoices into the accounting system and ensuring they are coded correctly
Helping to prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Assisting in preparing checks for mailing and distribution
Ensuring all financial documentation is accurately filed and maintained
Assisting in the preparation of accounts payable reports and other documentation as needed
Assisting in the reconciliation of vendor statements and correcting any discrepancies
Supporting month-end and year-end close processes as needed
