As an Accounting & Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's accounting and tax activities to ensure compliance with local GAAP, Embraer Group standards, and established procedures. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing accounting activities for accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and timely preparation of financial statements. You will align company accounts with group standards, report discrepancies to headquarters, and ensure timely rectification. Additionally, you will prepare and submit statistical and financial reports in compliance with local regulatory obligations. You will also support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliation, financial result consolidation, and variance analysis reporting. Ensuring the integrity of financial records for subsidiaries, branches, and affiliated entities will be crucial, maintaining up-to-date charts of accounts in accordance with corporate guidelines. You will oversee the accounting mailbox and respond to queries effectively. In terms of audit and tax compliance, you will prepare annual financial statements, management reports, and oversee external audits. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing tax activities to ensure compliance with corporate income and local tax regulations while preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns. Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of tax statements for subsidiaries, branches, and affiliated entities will be essential. You will need to ensure that ERP system configurations comply with local accounting and tax practices and stay updated on local tax legislation to effectively communicate relevant changes to management and stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be required to apply professional skepticism and due diligence in financial processes, verifying data accuracy, requesting supporting documentation, and identifying potential compliance risks. You will escalate and assist in resolving compliance-related concerns in line with company policies and procedures. Other accounting duties may be assigned to you as required to support the team and organization in achieving its objectives. To be a suitable candidate for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields, with a Master's in Business Administration considered a plus. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in accounting and clerical support roles is required. Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with local GAAP and IFRS accounting standards are essential, along with proficiency in SAP ERP system. Experience in general accounting activities, variance analysis, audit examinations, and process improvements is necessary. Additionally, you should have strong knowledge of finance fundamentals, business vision, and competitiveness skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work in a team within an international environment are also important. Fluency in English is mandatory, while the ability to speak Portuguese or any other European language is advantageous for communication purposes.
