Job Description

As the AGM - Accounts, your role will involve overseeing the financial operations of the company with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following accounting standards such as P&L and Balance Sheet Statements. - Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including GST, income tax, and other applicable regulations. - Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and ensure prompt resolution of any audit issues. - Manage the company's cash flow for efficient working capital management. - Collaborate with senior management to forecast cash flow needs and ensure financial stability. - Lead the budgeting process, aligning it with business goals. - Provide regular financial forecasts and variance analysis to facilitate decision-making. - Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost control, efficiency improvements, and profitability. - Supervise a team of accounting professionals, focusing on performance, training, and development. - Offer guidance on complex accounting matters to maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency. - Create a collaborative and high-performance environment within the accounts team. - Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. - Review and enhance financial processes and systems to boost efficiency and minimize error risks. - Manage all aspects of taxation, including GST filings, TDS returns, and income tax returns. - Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and address any tax-related issues. - Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders to provide insights into the company's financial health. - Analyze trends, financial performance, and KPIs to support strategic business decisions. Qualifications required: - Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA qualified. - Experience in the jewellery/retail or manufacturing industry is preferred. - Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, ERP, etc.) and MS Excel. - In-depth understanding of financial regulations, taxation, and auditing. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Skills: - Leadership and team management. - Financial analysis and reporting. - Cash flow and working capital management. - Knowledge of statutory compliance (GST, Income Tax, etc.). - Strategic thinking and decision-making.
