Description
The ideal candidate for the position of AGM - Accounts should have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with a focus on the retail or manufacturing sector. As the AGM - Accounts, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include: - Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards, including P&L and Balance Sheet Statements. - Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, such as GST, income tax, and other applicable regulations. - Coordinating with auditors for annual audits and ensuring timely resolution of any audit issues. - Overseeing the company's cash flow to ensure efficient working capital management. - Working closely with senior management to forecast cash flow needs and plan for financial stability. - Leading the budgeting process for the company, ensuring alignment with business goals. - Providing regular financial forecasts and variance analysis to support decision-making. - Conducting financial analysis to identify areas for cost control, efficiency improvements, and profitability. - Managing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring effective performance, training, and development. - Providing guidance on complex accounting issues and ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency. - Fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment within the accounts team. - Implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. - Reviewing and improving financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of errors. - Overseeing all aspects of taxation, including GST filings, TDS returns, and income tax returns. - Ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax returns and resolving any tax-related issues. - Preparation of detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders to provide insights into the company's financial health. - Analyzing trends, financial performance, and KPIs to support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA qualified with experience in the jewellery/retail or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, ERP, etc.) and MS Excel is essential, along with an in-depth understanding of financial regulations, taxation, and auditing. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
