Accounting Faculty

Location: URBX Knowledge Park, Thrikkakara, Cochin
Position: Full-Time

URBX Knowledge Park is looking for a passionate and skilled Accounting Faculty to guide and train students in the field of accounting, finance, and taxation. We are seeking candidates who can combine strong subject knowledge with practical insights from the industry to deliver an engaging and career-focused learning experience.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2+ years of teaching experience and 1+ year of industry or technical experience, with a total of around 3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Delivery:

• Conduct interactive classroom sessions on subjects such as Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Business Finance.
• Provide hands-on training in accounting software (like Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) to build practical skills.
• Apply real-world case studies and examples to simplify complex accounting concepts.

2. Content & Assessments:

• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, presentations, and case studies tailored to student needs.
• Develop and evaluate student assignments, tests, and project work.
• Update course content regularly to reflect current industry practices and standards.

3. Student Support:

• Encourage active participation and engagement through discussions and activities.
• Guide students on academic projects and career opportunities in accounting and finance.
• Offer mentoring and support to help students strengthen their professional skills.

4. Industry Awareness:

• Keep up with recent updates in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial practices.
• Share industry insights to prepare students for real-world job roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience in accounting or finance-related subjects.
• At least 1 year of industry/technical experience in accounting roles (such as taxation, auditing, or financial reporting).
• Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to create effective, student-friendly learning materials.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students towards successful accounting careers.
