Role Description

AAA Accounting & Financial Services is expanding. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate with a foundational understanding of the Australian accounting landscape. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud accounting software and capable of managing financial records for our Australian client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records using Xero cloud accounting software.
• Taxation Support: Assist in the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Individual Tax Returns (ITR) in compliance with Australian tax laws.
• Reconciliation: Perform bank, credit card, and payroll reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets for review.
• Compliance: Ensure all accounting tasks meet Australian accounting standards and deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• Education: B.COM, M.COM, or Semi-qualified CA/CMA.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in accounting (Experience with Australian accounting is highly preferred).
• Software: Mandatory proficiency in Xero. Knowledge of QuickBooks or MYOB is a plus.
• Tax Knowledge: Basic understanding of GST, FBT, and the Australian financial year (July–June).
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, high numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
