Accountant - UK Accounting/SAGE Software - Hybrid, Gurgaon

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

• Maintain the Sale and Purchase Ledgers in Sage
• Daily recording of all customer and supplier invoices in Sage from the shopfloor ERP system (Filemaker)
• Enter daily bank receipts and payments into Sage from the bank statements
• Process consumable transactions and expense claims
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Calculate and post depreciation

Controlling and reporting:

• Prepare weekly MI report
• Monitor accounts inbox daily ensuring responses are sent and/or actions escalated as appropriate
• Maintain daily control sheets for sales invoices, purchases, credit notes and payments
• Maintain Origination (Plates) sales and purchases records in Excel
• Ensure integrity of FileMaker data for MI/BI reports
• Production of daily and ad-hoc reports
• Reconciliation of sales invoices in Sage to logged in system
• Accurate monthly supplier reconciliation of invoices received and expected to ensure accruals are correct

Customer and supplier liaison:

• Day to day coordination with supplier and customers via email and dialogue
• Dealing with supplier and customer queries
• Ensure credit control tracker is set up and debtor collection is performed on a timely basis
• Sending statements to customers and suppliers when required
• Set up new supplier and customer accounts in Sage

Other ad-hoc tasks:

• Action Import clearance on containers as and when received
• Support the month-end and year-end accrual and closing processes
• Attending team meetings
• Continuously bring new ideas for process improvements

Skills Required:

• Experience within a small private owned business ideally in the flexible printing industry
• Must have exp.

• Ability to prepare and present outputs to direct report

• Qualified / pursuing (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
