Accountant - (Reporting To Fractional CA)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to support our Fractional Chartered Accountant (CA) in managing day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The role will focus on maintaining accurate records, assisting with statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and ensuring smooth workflows in coordination with the CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle various notices related to Income Tax, GST, and TDS.
• Assist in statutory audits and tax audits for multiple companies.
• Perform data entry and bookkeeping in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers, and customer accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS workings, and other compliance filings.
• Maintain documentation for audits, tax filings, and regulatory purposes.
• Provide timely and accurate financial data to the Fractional CA for review and strategic decision-making.
• Implement and monitor financial controls and policies.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal entries.

Qualifications & Skills

• CA dropout, M.Com, or Bachelors degree in Commerce/Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping (preferably with a CA firm).
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar.
• Good knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and basic tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Experience working with startups, SMEs, or multi-entity accounting environments.
