We also assist in identifying strategic acquisitions, bolt-on opportunities, partnerships, and joint ventures to enhance their value proposition and support organic growth. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and other required reports for management or portfolio companies. - Complete month-end closing tasks including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. - Manage planning, forecasting, and budgeting in collaboration with portfolio companies. - Review and analyze GL accounts, and reconcile A/R and A/P for accuracy. - Ensure timely invoicing, collection of inter-company expense allocations, and other billings. - Create and maintain Fixed Asset subledger for portfolio companies. - Prepare financial analysis on sales and cost of sales for portfolio companies. - Participate in the preparation and coordination of annual audits with portfolio companies and external auditors. - Document and monitor internal controls. - Identify opportunities for process improvements in collaboration with managers and portfolio companies. - Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Controller. **Qualifications Required:** - University degree in accounting. - Minimum 4 years of experience with QuickBooks Online. - Accounting designations are preferred. - 4-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering sectors. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and QuickBooks Online. - Experience with MS Dynamics is preferred. - Knowledge of Canadian GST and HST is an asset.
