Job Opening: Accountant (Full Accounts, GST & IT Filing)

Job Description

We are a well-established paper manufacturing company based in Kolkata seeking a responsible and experienced Accountant to handle our full accounts and compliance work. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Tally, GST returns, Income Tax filings, and should be capable of managing all liaison work with government departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting using Tally ERP
• Handle GST returns (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Prepare and file Income Tax returns
• Manage TDS, PF/ESI (if applicable), and ROC compliance
• Coordinate with external CA, auditors, and government officers for notices or queries
• Manage banking, cash flow, and payment tracking
• Maintain accurate ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation
• Handle invoicing, stock entries, and purchase/sales record keeping
• Perform liaison work with tax officials, auditors, and regulatory authorities

Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com preferred)
• 2–4 years’ experience in a manufacturing setup or mid-size business
• Proficient in Tally ERP, MS Excel, GSTN portal, IT portal
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and tax laws
• Comfortable working independently and reporting directly to management
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Kolkata
